Four mistakes easily made during the use of diesel generator

Error operation one:
When the diesel engine is running when the oil is insufficient, the insufficient oil supply will cause insufficient oil supply on the surface of each friction pair, resulting in abnormal wear or burns. For this reason, before starting the diesel generator and during the operation of the diesel engine, it is necessary to ensure sufficient oil to prevent cylinder pulling and tile burning failures caused by lack of oil.

Error operation two:
When the load is suddenly stopped or the load is suddenly removed, the diesel engine is stopped immediately after the generator is turned off. The cooling system water circulation stops, the heat dissipation capacity is drastically reduced, and the heated parts lose cooling, which may easily cause the cylinder head, cylinder liner, cylinder block, and other mechanical parts to overheat. Cracks or excessive expansion of the piston stuck in the cylinder liner. On the other hand, if the diesel generator is shut down without cooling at idle speed, the friction surface will not contain enough oil. When the diesel engine restarts, it will aggravate wear due to poor lubrication. Therefore, before the diesel generator stalls, the load should be removed, and the speed should be gradually reduced and run for a few minutes without load.

Error operation three:
After a cold start, run the diesel generator with the load without warming up. When a cold engine starts, due to the high oil viscosity and poor fluidity, the oil pump is insufficiently supplied, and the friction surface of the machine is poorly lubricated due to lack of oil, causing rapid wear and even cylinder pulling, Burning tiles and other faults. Therefore, the diesel engine should run at idling speed after cooling and start to heat up, and then run with the load when the standby oil temperature reaches 40℃ or higher.

Error operation four:
After the diesel engine is cold-started, if the throttle is slammed, the speed of the diesel generator set will rise sharply, which will cause some friction surfaces on the engine to wear out due to dry friction. In addition, the piston, connecting rod, and crankshaft receive a large change when the throttle is hit, causing severe impact and easy damage to the parts.
