Affected by factors such as last year’s low base, recovery in overseas demand, and my country’s supply advantages, my country’s mechanical and electrical foreign trade continued to grow in March. According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export volume of my country’s mechanical and electrical products in March was 1.56 trillion yuan (the same below), a year-on-year increase of 21.8%. The trade surplus reached 1.12 trillion yuan, an increase of 91.8% year-on-year. Among them, the cumulative export value was 2.78 trillion yuan, the highest value in the history of export of mechanical and electrical products in the first quarter, an increase of 43% year-on-year, and an increase of 25.9% compared with the first quarter of 2019, accounting for 60.3% of my country’s total export of goods.

   In the first quarter, the export value of all key industries in the electromechanical field increased significantly. Among them, automobiles (including chassis) increased by 99% year-on-year, lighting equipment increased by 86.5% year-on-year, household appliances increased by 63.4% year-on-year, automatic data processing equipment and their parts increased by 54.5% year-on-year, and mobile phones increased by 38.5% year-on-year. The export growth rate of mechanical and electrical products in the first quarter was about 9%.
